What is “Everything Becomes” about?
"Everything Becomes" describes a moment of sudden belonging, when morning light passes through the narrator as if she were glass and every small thing in the room starts singing its own name. The chorus carries the central reversal: the river she thought was drowning her was only becoming part of her. The tenth track on Solstice Light and one of its longer songs, it ends with her taking off her borrowed names and stepping into the light she already was.
