What is “Voltage” about?
"Voltage" treats desire as an electrical charge, describing a night when skin hums, circuits burn and the narrator asks to be lit up and changed for good. The hook holds pleasure and pain in the same breath, and a two-word bridge of overloaded and electrified pushes the feeling past its limit. It opens Solstice Light, Lyra Voss's debut album, and was also released on its own as a single.
