Nova Driftwood
About

Nova Driftwood.

Released on McCandless Records, 2026.

Nova Driftwood is a deep house producer working in the 118–128 BPM range, building long, hypnotic journeys out of warm sub-bass, vinyl crackle, and chopped vocal textures used as instruments rather than narrators. The sound draws from the lineage of Solomun, Peggy Gou, Dixon, Palms Trax, and Jon Hopkins — restraint as a power move, breathing room as a production decision, the dancefloor at three in the morning when the room finally locks in.

The debut album, Tide Clock, is a sixteen-track meditation on motion through sound. From the sunrise warmth of Golden Hour to the analog mystique of Harbor Light, the album uses a single emotional arc — twelve hours one way, twelve the other, no acceleration — to organize a long-form listen designed for headphones, late drives, and the quiet end of the night.

Tide Clock landed on streaming services on April 26, 2026, preceded by the lead single Golden Hour on April 23.
