What is “Fireproof” about?
"Fireproof" is a survival song in which every attempt to burn the narrator down only hardens her. After someone strikes the match meant to end her, she rebuilds from ash and anger, arguing that "bending's how I didn't break today." By the last chorus the defiance tips into a warning that she is made of what her enemies fear. Placed fourth on Gasoline Hymn, it extends the album's opening run of fire-soaked, unbowed anthems.
