What is “Heartbeat” about?
"Heartbeat" is a sleepless, middle-of-the-night crush song in which the narrator's pulse says what she can't. She replays the move he didn't make, notices that rainy days now feel like summer and admits she saved his name with a little heart. In the bridge she asks him to feel her chest, where the rhythm is "spelling out your name." It sits thirteenth on GLITCH, just ahead of "Frequency," and ends with the confession finally said out loud.
