What is “Sunwire” about?

"Sunwire" pictures a current running through sunlight, a wire that first pulls the listener along and then becomes the listener. That shift, from feeling the wire in the first verse to being it in the second, "burning into one," gives the brief lyric its only arc before it dissolves into echoes. Track four on Tide Clock, it continues the album's opening stretch of sun and gold imagery that began with "Golden Hour" and "Liquid Gold."
