What is “Glass Tide” about?
"Glass Tide" describes a tide of glass rising over the singer until it breaks and scatters "into a thousand lights." The few words it uses move from pressure to release, with shatter standing alone as its own line before the lyric fades out in echoes of tide and shatter. At a little over two minutes, it is the shortest track on Tide Clock, placed tenth as the album heads into its run of night and tide songs.
